7 Women-Led VCs Reshaping the Future of Venture Capital

Women-Led VCs

Tech culture has long been a male-dominated ecosystem, but women have been shattering that ceiling for decades.

New data shows significant progress. From 2010 to 2020, the number of women-led VC funds grew from about a dozen to over 300. In 2023 alone, more than 160 women-led VC firms—defined as having at least half of founding partners as women—raised roughly 3.5 billion, up $500 million from 2022, according to Venture Capital Journal.

And through the years, women-led VCs have been pivotal in supporting female founders. From 2016 to 2021, these firms accounted for 28% of deals involving startups with at least one woman founder, compared to 22% for male-only companies.

Women have undeniably earned their place in the VC space. Here are some of the women redefining the ecosystem.
