An Open and Transparent Process
We have been in your shoes as founders ourselves, and we are committed to making our investment process as open and transparent as possible. Here’s what you can expect:
- Open application. You don’t need a referral to be considered for investment. In fact, we prefer direct outreach.
- An answer in a week. We usually get back to applicants within a week with either a respectful pass or an invitation to a conversation.
- A conversation, not a pitch. We don’t do traditional pitches. We think they are a waste of time for both of us. Instead, we like to have an open conversation about the business you are building.
- We do our homework. We come prepared to meetings because we respect your time. We also will never be distracted, checking our phones, or answering email while we are talking.
- Get to know us. Taking on an investor is a long-term commitment. We will give you an opportunity to ask us questions and get to know us.
- Diligence in 4-6 weeks. Our full diligence process for pre-seed usually takes 4-6 weeks, depending on scheduling. We also let founders know right away if we decide not to proceed with an investment, so you can focus on other capital partners.
